A yummy crunchy treat that’s so easy anyone and everyone can make it! These 3-ingredient chocolate crunch doughnuts are perfect for when you’re craving something sweet, but don’t feel like baking or making anything too complicated.

3-Ingredient Chocolate Crunch Doughnuts (1)

This recipe is probably the most popular recipe on my blog to date. I think the reason is that they’re so easy and only call for 3 ingredients. They’re also really easy to adjust – you can add anything to them and you can shape them however you like. I love using doughnuts mould, but you can use any moulds you have on hand, or even use a cake tin and cut them up into bars/squares.

3-Ingredient Chocolate Crunch Doughnuts (2)

These chocolate crunch doughnuts do remind me of a crunch chocolate bar, but a dark version, which in my opinion is so much better! I used 70% dairy-free dark chocolate, but it will work with any chocolate you prefer. I usually make them with quinoa pops, but I’ve also made them with protein crispies, puffed brown rice and rice krispies. I’m obsessed with chocolate treats that are also crunchy. They’re so addictive and satisfying!

3-Ingredient Chocolate Crunch Doughnuts (3)

I’m not a big fan of doughnuts, mainly because they’re way too oily and sickly sweet. I do however LOVE using doughnut moulds to make anything but doughnuts. Like these chocolate chip doughnut cookies, or rose chocolate doughnuts, which are more like doughnut shaped mini cakes. I thought it would be a fun idea to use a doughnut mould for this recipe too. Mini doughnut moulds work best as I feel regular sized doughnut moulds are too big. If regular size doughnut moulds is all you have available, you can still use them and cut the doughnut in half, although they won’t be as cute.

3-Ingredient Chocolate Crunch Doughnuts (4)

Reasons why you need to make these 3-ingredient chocolate crunch doughnuts:

  • They’re no-bake
  • Easy to make
  • Only call for 3-ingredients
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Can be made nut-free
  • Adjustable to linking and dietary needs
  • And they’re so cute!

  • 25g quinoa pops* or puffed brown rice, protein crispies, rice krispies, etc.

What a cute little candy recipe! Perfect for those little chocolate hankerings where you also need a good crunch! Rice krispies used to be one of my favorite cereals too. I want to try making this with puffed quinoa or puffed millet too!

Seriously? Have you ever heard of a recipe that calls for the food to be frozen for days before it becomes edible? Have you never eaten Rice Krispies, chocolate or peanut butter without having frozen them for days beforehand? Use a little common sense.

Hi, you can make your own chocolate with coconut oil, cocoa powder and a bit of vanilla essence and some honey to sweeten. Before I found this recipe I made rice crispy chocolate with my homemade chocolate and peppermint essence. I poured it over rice crispies and let it set and sliced into chunks. No peanut butter just the homemade chocolate and the crisps with a mint flavour. They were pretty good. 🙂 I’m going to try yours Nadia with the nut butter. Looks good.

Try using a seed butter. Sunflower seed butter or make you own with any seed you like with a food processor or high speed blender. Just think of something you would like with the chocolate.

Delicious and so quick! I had some Lily’s chocolate chips with Stevia, but not enough, so I broke up a couple of squares of Lindt 90% dark chocolate bar. After I nuked that with regular Skippy’s peanut butter with nuts. It only has a couple of carbs and it’s so low that spread out, it’s like nothing. If you want them to be shiny, use coconut oil instead. I added the Rice Crispys and some cinnamon. I used a pan that you make ice cream sandwich cookies with. It is so quick and easy! Thank you so much. This is so helpful to stay on a Keto plan. I hated to give up all sugar and this is so satisfying!

Well here it is August 2020. I tweaked this a bit, now that better sweetener has come out. I melted the chocolate, peanut butter and coconut oil in the microwave. I used the Lindt 90% cocoa chocolate bar. I used the same recipe, only I added 3 big tablespoons of Swerve confectioners sugar. Then about 1/4 tsp of vanilla and a 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract. Same amount of peanut butter and an equal amount of coconut oil. Dropped them into a couple of ice cube trays and put in the freezer. Wonderful!
